The next offering from my forthcoming keeping The Classics alive. The Can Can is one of the most famous dances going back to the Folie Bergere days and of course the Moulin Rouge, currently undergoing a popular revival due to films and stage shows. I found it very difficult to illustrate this Music due to the lack of free to use films. I tried to find out if the London Stage School production was in the public domain as it did not have a copyright notice so hopefully I've not infringed anyones copyright. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the filmaker please get in touch so I can put up another version which is being held in reserve.or seek approval. I've always tried to keep within Copyright Laws and find it incredible how people steal work without acknowledgement or asking, including mine, although I suppose it advertises it to a wider audience.Kicking legs up of course is nothing new and is used in wider contexts as seen in the non-dance clips.
