Yes, I do realise that I have previously tied the star knot with chunky cord. However, I recently had a request asking for me for a 6 strand star knot tutorial. The Star knot makes a very decorative button knot, or it can also be used as a decorative knot, when transitioning from one decorative knot to another. The great thing about the star knot is that once you have created the initial loops, the knot can be easily handle without too much worry of it coming undone! I personally think that the hardest thing about the star knot is the tightening up. I found it difficult to remember where all the strands go in the tightening process.
