Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar has said that no documents or biometrics will be taken during the National Population register process. The process of updating the NPR will be held between April and September 2020, before the Census which is due to start from February 2021. Cabinet approved funds to the tune of over Rs 8,500 crore for updating the National Population Register, officials have said. What is NPR And how it is different from NRC?
