Vitreous is jelly like substance found between the lens and the retina and is transparent. Asteroid Hyalosis is more common with patients like Diabetes, high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart disease. Mostly it does not cause any problem but sometimes can lead to decrease in vision or may be seen as floaters by the patient. Asteroid Hyalosis is diagnosed by retina specialist by examining retina.
