SEND PAYMENT... 35 years later, the AIRFORCE Legend STRIKES BACK... Dedicated to the Memory of my Dear Friend Isaac "Ike" John Johnson... Gone too Soon... R.I.P... I have learnt so much from Isaac and we were on a similar wavelength in regards to our musical perspectives and he was a huge TRAFFIC fan... He was also a personal Friend of Master Kabaka, he always wanted to connect me directly to him... This one is for you Isaac... My Brother... A complete LEGEND... As Master Kabaka is invited on stage in LA, the DECISION IS MADE... ENTER - the AIRFORCE Legend from 1970... AIKO BIAYE... A fantastic introduction with some fine words from both as they start to sing in HAUSA... This was yet another language Master Winwood sang in, during their AIRFORCE run with Master Baker in 1970...Goes without saying, Master Winwood also sang in GERMAN, YORUBA as well as SPANISH throughout the decades... Master Kabaka was a great friend of Master Winwood since the very early days... They recorded / jammed on many projects through the years. He also guested on stage during the TRAFFIC Reunion in 1994 and was backstage on one of the gigs in 2008 during the Master Petty run... On this HISTORIC night, Jose, Jay, Karl & Davide back up Master Kabaka as he resurrects AIKO BIAYE... with Jose taking a superb solo followed by Master Winwood's Hammond solo... Not to be outdone, Jay comes in with his own thunderous Sax solo... As expected, at the finish line, Master Kabaka takes Karl & Davide as his wingmen as they unleash a Percussion Superclass for everyone in the attendance... I am still trying to ascertain whether Master Kabaka continued to stay on for the remainder of the night... Rest assured, more to follow... ------------ {Many thanks to David in the comments who was present at the show, I can confirm that my suspicions were correct... Master Kabaka is on the rest of the show, as he never stepped down... :) Thank You David... 🙏} The EPIC picture of Master Burton & Master Kabaka, from the BALLS days, by Shutterstock. Remember...
