Iron Rock Off Road Heavy Duty Over The Knuckle Steering Install XJ TJ LJ ZJ IRO OTK

In this video we install Iron Rock Off Road's heavy duty over the knuckle steering kit on a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon LJ, which is a longer version of the TJ. The kit eliminates the factory Y link completely and replaces it with a 1.25" solid cold rolled steel tie rod running from knuckle to knuckle, over the knuckle rather than under. This provides additional strength, clearance from rocks, and also maintains a static toe setting. The drag link is also replaced with 1.25" solid cold rolled steel. Both the tie rod and drag link utilize heavy duty heim joints AKA spherical rod ends. We opted for the 5/8" hardware upgrade which required drilling of the knuckles and pitman arm.
