The mighty Nkuhlu Coalition—a group of male lions that's not only growing in size and reputation but, more importantly, in confidence. We have seen them on numerous occasions here at Lion Sands as they patrol the border of Kruger National Park and Sabi Sand, seemingly finding a core territory here. "On this morning, we left Lion Sands Narina Lodge early. We spotted a lioness downstream on the rocks, and then the call from Field Guide Jabualni came in: 'Just located the 5 Madoda Ngalas.' These were the words I had been waiting to hear for three days. We ended up spending over 30 minutes with them, watching as they crossed the Sabie River over a legendary wooden bridge in Kruger National Park.
