DUSU Election 2024: Election fever is in the air at the Delhi University campus as the Students’ Union goes to poll on September 27. The Delhi university students’ union election is contested for 4 posts: President, Vice-President, Secretary and Joint Secretary. The major parties and current post holders are ABVP and NSUI. And this time, the Left’s SFI and AISA will fight the polls in coalition. The poll promises extend from basic infrastructure to menstrual leaves and metro concession passes to hostel construction. Looking at DUSU panels over the years, one thing stands out — they have mostly comprised upper-caste members, particularly from the Jat and Gurjar communities.
