Egypt: Sailing through the desert on a felucca

I couldn't help but feel excited when I found out I was going to be sailing down the Nile River on a felucca as part of my Egypt adventure with Intrepid Travel. I've never been on a sailboat, and slowly zig-zagging down the longest river in the world seemed like the perfect way to absorb daily life in Egypt. The adventure begins in the southern city of Aswan, where our crew immediately starts cooking lunch in one of the smallest kitchens I've ever seen. The living area is also the dining room and the bedroom, but we're not staying on the sailboat tonight. Instead, we'll be in a Nubian village cooking and eating more and delicious food with a local family. So what's it like sailing down the Nile River on a felucca? Watch and find out!
