Recently, home invasion attempts by Uber Eats drivers have left some women in an unexpected position to defend themselves. Shardaya Hardin sat down with TSR Investigates and shared her story, explaining that back in 2022, in a Columbus, Ohio suburb, when she was waiting for her food order to be left on her doorstep, she got more than what she bargained for when the delivery person ended up forcing his way into her home without rhyme, reason or warning. After police responded to the scene, her Uber Eats account was disabled because the delivery person marked “violence” in the app. Now, the real question has become how this can be prevented and how people can protect themselves against these unexpected attacks.
