says Puerto Ricans weren't really around in HipHop until the late 1970s because of racism between blacks and ricans. He's says most of the Puerto Rican bboys picked the dance in the late 1970s after the Black Pioneers of the dance had retired because it was played out. He said the only blacks that were still bboying were the Little baby Zulu Kings (Robbie Rob, Lil Boy Keith, Beaver etc...). Which would give way to The Rican bboys crews (Rock Well Association for example)This make sense when you think about it, the Rican bboys/crews that formed in the later 1970s/early 1980s almost always mention Beaver but none of the earlier Zulu Kings such as Cholly Rock. Cholly Rock said he retired around 1977/1978 whereas beaver said he retired around 1980/1981.
