Handcrafted in Maryland with premium USA Beard parts. It is based on the original dobro body size and shape and is made from premium-grade Finnish birch veneer. It features a Legend cone and Original #14 spider combination. The fully hollow body is birch veneer with a vintage inspired finish. It is an open construction with top bracing as opposed to soundpost or soundwell construction. It does not have binding, but has the appearance of binding on the edges. The coverplate is the Beard "radio" style. It also has a Beard spun cone, #14 spider, and a maple and ebony saddle. The peghead face has the Beard logo decal. The neck is Maple with Ebony fingerboard with acrylic pearloid dot inlays, and it has a bone nut. High quality black hardware includes black tailpiece, black round sound holes, and Radio cover plate. All Radio Standards also come standard with Gotoh tuners. This guitar has Gotoh tuners with mini buttons. Anything that comes out of Paul Beard's shop is set up immaculately and sounds like a million bucks. That means this guitar, like the other Beard guitars we sell, is ready to play in any setting. Comes with an excellent hard-shell case.
