My name is Desiree and I am thirty four years old. For the last ten years I have worked as a Senior Risk Assessor for a major insurance firm in Chicago. My entire job is to look at a situation calculate the variables and predict the worst case scenario. But standing on the frozen pavement of North Lake Shore Drive at three in the morning I realized I had failed to predict the disaster that was my own life.
