A traditional sweet dish made with whole wheat flour It is usually made on religious and auspicious occasions A whole meal in itself, its nutritious and healthy RECIPE INGREDIENTS 1 tsp of ghee 1 cup of dry grated coconut 1/4 cup of roasted khus khus powder 2 cups of wheat flour 1 cup of besan (gramflour) 1/2 cup of rava (semoline/suji) 1 tsp of salt 1 tbsp of oil 1 cup of water 1.5 cups of powdered sugar 1/2 tsp of elaichi powder (cardamom powder) 1/2 tsp of jaiphal powder (nutmeg powder) 1 cup of roasted groundnut 3/4 cup of roasted chana dal (phutana) METHOD Make roasted khus khus powder and keep aside Roast 1 cup of dry grated coconut in 1 tsp of ghee and kepp aside In a big bowl, add wheat flour, besan, rava, salt, oil and mix well Slowly add 1 cup of water add mix well Knead to a stiff dough as shown Cover it with a wet towel for 1-2 minutes Remove towel and knead well Make big dough balls Make thick chapatis of the dough balls Bake properly on both sides Make all the chapatis and let them cool Break chapatis into small pieces Put in a mixer jar and grind it to a coarse powder as shown Put the chapati powder to a big bowl Add 1.5 cup of powdered sugar and mix well Add khus khus powder, elaichi powder, nutmeg powder and mix well Add roasted groundnut, roasted chana dal, roasted dry coconut and mix well MALIDO is ready..!!
