Queued up another Fortnite Zero Build Duos with the legend himself, T-West. Now normally these matches follow a very predictable script: T-West dominates the lobby while I provide background scenery and occasionally donate loot after getting eliminated. But this game? This one was a rare moment where I actually resembled a functional teammate. We dropped into a decent POI and right away things felt… different. T-West started doing his usual thing—cracking shields and sending people back to the lobby—but this time I was actually hitting shots too. I managed to pick up a couple early eliminations that weren’t bots (or at least they didn’t look like bots, which is good enough for me). For a brief moment, I felt like I belonged in the lobby. The mid-game rotations were smooth. T-West led the way as usual with elite positioning and game sense, but I was right there backing him up—laying down some decent cover fire, calling out enemies, and even helping finish a couple fights. At one point we got third-partied and instead of immediately getting folded like a lawn chair, I actually helped hold the line long enough for T-West to clean up the chaos. We kept moving toward end game stacking up eliminations along the way. I was still very aware that T-West was the engine of the operation, but for once I felt like more than just extra weight in the backpack. I had shields, good positioning, and somehow was still alive with only a handful of teams left. Of course… because it’s me… my run ended just before the real chaos. We got into a tough fight near the final circles and I ended up getting knocked while trying to reposition. It wasn’t the worst play ever, but it definitely wasn’t the play of a Fortnite champion either. Still, I held on long enough to help soften up the other team before going down. That left T-West to do what T-West does best—turn end game into a personal highlight reel. He fought through the final squads with some clean shots and clutch movement, eventually locking up the Victory Royale. Final stats looked a little different this time: T-West – still the MVP and lobby sheriff. Me – several eliminations, helpful damage, and actually alive long enough to almost see end game. For one glorious match, I wasn’t just cargo in the T-West backpack… I was slightly useful cargo. And honestly, that might be the peak of my Fortnite career. #fortnite #fortnitezerobuilds #fortnitegameplay #zerobuilds #PS5 #PS5gameplays
