Our 2011 "SRI" model offers an elevated spec over the regular Corsa. Powered by a smooth and willing 1.4 litre engine, this car produces a healthy 88bhp whilst giving 46mpg combined fuel economy. The Corsa is well proportioned and has a neat design which has created a spacious interior. Smart features like multi-poistion backrests for the rear bench, ensure you maximise your space in this car, and ensure it's practical for all the family. The SRI model is a good looking car, with sleek lines and distinctive styling queues which echo the larger Astra models. Our car is finished in a deep metallic blue which looks brilliant and shows the Corsas lines off perfectly. To complement the higher spec the SRI model features larger alloy wheels and a sports bodykit including a deeper front bumper, side skirts and a discreet rear window spoiler. The result is a car with a far more purposeful presence than a regular Corsa. The Corsa is highly competent, not just around town, but also on motorways and high speed A-Roads where the responsive steering and factory fitted cruise control of this SRI model make it a joy to drive. The SRI has sports suspension which provides the chassis with excellent handling and ride comfort. The overall package exceeds your every expectation - It easily rivals much larger car for comfort and practicality whilst ensuring the running costs are at an all time low - This is a car that you could happily use as your main family car - And with such a compelling combination of performance and low running costs you could not ask for much more. Inside the Corsa is spacious and well thought out. This SRI model comes with a sport leather trimmed steering wheel and 2-tone red and black sports seats which are more contoured and comfortable than the standard model. It is surprising how much of a difference those seats make to the overall comfort of the car. There is air-conditioning and an aftermarket DAB stereo system which has bluetooth connectivity for both phone and media - This feature really brings this Corsa bang-up-to-date. Other features of the SRI model include electric front windows, a height adjustable drivers seat and steering which adjusts for both rake and reach, to ensure that drivers of all shapes and sizes will feel comfortable behind the wheel of our Corsa. I particularly like the high-gloss black finish to the centre console which looks classy and gives the interior a quality feel. Having covered just 88k miles, our Corsa still drives superbly with well weighted steering that benefits from variable assistance (so is light at low speed to aide parking), and a smooth, responsive powerplant. The 1.4 litre engine in this model is an absolute gem which performs superbly and is very refined, making the Corsa a capable motorway cruiser. With an average fuel consumption of 46mpg combined you wont be penalised at the petrol pumps either - It is a great all-rounder combining practicality, style and refinement. Vauxhall made a huge effort when developing these cars to ensure they performed as a drivers car as well as a practical supermini. The Corsa delivers a superb ride and handling combination that elevate it above all rivals. At high speeds the Corsa feels comfortable and well planted. With strong ABS brakes you will ooze confidence behind the wheel. The steering is great, the grip impressive and the body roll well controlled whilst, the ride is also very good. The Corsa SRI has cruise control so you will be happy to take on longer journeys. To that end, the spacious cabin will be a boon. Though its not the largest in its class, you can (just about) seat five adults in reasonable comfort, thanks not only to the surprising width but also thanks to more knee-room at the rear than some cars from the next class up. There's a good luggage capacity too (of 285 litres which is deep and well proportioned) arranged in a shape to optimise usable volume for longer items like foldaway baby buggies.
