It's a cheap microphone and I bought this one (Thanks to David Harry) from Ebay for just £18. My expectations were low, but when I heard it, it sounded far better than I expected. The self noise figure isn't that great but it must be somewhere where I can't hear it. It seems pretty quiet to me. (Sometimes, with noise floors, the noise itself is somewhere in the FR where it's not so noticeable) It's a cardioid condenser mic, so quite sensitive and has an unusual feature; a built in high pass filter. So it doesn't rumble but it's great for speech.
