Still a good time to invest; Fundamentals strong for India. India is doing well compared to the world. Extremes there in certain pockets; IPO oversubscriptions show froth. India recent outperformance reflects higher attraction vs other EMs. Expecting 30-40% returns over the long term is unreasonable. Invest for 12-15% return expectation. Equities will give reasonable premium returns over fixed income. Next 4-5 years belong to India, Sensex at 100000 is possible. The financial sector will make a bigger comeback over a period of time. Fintech stories may be overblown because there are just too many of them. Investors may not make so much money from fintech as all of them are so similar. Retail investor expectations are very high currently, says Samir Arora of Helios Capital.
