Amongst The Russians - The Gamble (2009) - Fan Upload

in 2008, Amongst The Russians were putting the finishing touches to their debut, and only album - 'The Gamble'. I stumbled upon the band playing on a line-up with a friends band FLOONE, performing at Night and Day, Manchester, back in 2008. The band absolutely blew me over with their creativity, and I was a fan from that day on. 0:00 - The Gamble 5:49 - Something Sinister 10:19 - Riff 14:43 - E_Mo 19:33 - Smile 26:15 - Fool Me Twice 30:56 - Nyatkooda 34:33 - Spinning 37:19 - Sherbert Bloody Sherbert 41:44 - Dream I was unable to get hold of an extremely limited run of the Album, and had to chase them up several times via Facebook messenger for ages, before finally getting emailed a digital copy via Dropbox in 2014 from the Guitarist. I believe the band were primarily a university project, which disbanded after Uni circa 2009, after the release. They still have a Facebook page which links to some live videos on YT (   / @jameswmoore9609  ) , but alas, there didn't appear to be any links to their music left online. It would be a travesty for it to die, hence my upload. This is the best quality recording that exists outside of the original recordings, which might not exist anymore. I believe the members were/ are Fiona Moore, James Moore, Luke Edmund Yates, Dave Hewitt, Jake Stentiford, Roy Medhurst and Lloyd William Miller Other bands formed from this one... I saw 'From Carbon' once, performing at 'Gorilla, Manchester' with another local band (Jade Assembly), but I never saw 'The Supersonic'.
