Inside An Autonomous Bus In Singapore (& Why There's Still A 'Driver')

What is it like to take a ride in an autonomous bus? In this #TalkingPoint Extra, we try out MooBus, an electric self-driving bus deployed by Singapore company MooVita. Launched on 9 January, 2023, the free shuttle ferries passengers from King Albert Park MRT and around Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP). To get a 360-degree view of its surroundings, MooBus relies on 16 sensors like cameras, radars and light detection and ranging sensors (LIDARs). Algorithms help calculate and decide the path.
