4.Foundational Concepts in Simulation Education

This third webinar in the Healthcare Simulation Webinar series on Foundational Concepts in Simulation Education provides participants with an overview of the foundational concepts and underpinnings for the use of simulation as a teaching methodology for professional health care education. Evidence based standards and theoretical frameworks were also discussed. The Healthcare Simulation Webinar Series are free, live webinar series focused on advancement in Healthcare Simulation and on the challenges and trends associated with Simulation in the clinical setting. Each webinar was facilitated by Director of California Simulation Alliance (CSA) at the California Institute for Nursing and Health Care, Dr. KT Waxman, an internationally known speaker and author on the topic of health care simulation. Dr. Waxman is the Program Director for the USF master's degree in Healthcare Simulation program and is also the Chair of the Media and Communications committee for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
