Spotted at Driffield Show – a beautifully restored Muir-Hill MH101, built for serious field work and zero nonsense. Manufactured by Muir-Hill (a division of Vickers Ltd) in Gloucester, these tractors were designed for heavy draft applications — big ploughs, heavy cultivators and hard ground where lighter machines simply couldn’t cope. The MH101 is powered by a naturally aspirated diesel engine delivering strong low-down torque, paired with a heavy-duty drivetrain and massive rear rubber. Wide stance. Simple layout. Built to pull, not pose. Finished here in that unmistakable industrial yellow, complete with original supplier and restoration plaques — a proper British brute restored with care. No electronics. No gimmicks. Just weight, gearing and torque.
