Pamper day for frontline healthcare workers

A salon owner in Co Offaly has started an initiative amongst hairdressers and beauty salons around Ireland "to come together and do one massive day of thank you" for frontline healthcare workers. The 'Frontline Give Back Day' will take place when the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted and will see salons offer a day of free treatments to frontline healthcare workers. The day is the idea of Tullamore business-owner Olivia Murray who put a call-out on Instagram for other businesses to join the initiative. "I had a small idea to see what could I do to give something back. I came up with the idea of opening the doors on a Sunday of my skin and beauty clinic to do a day of treatments to those frontline workers, those that are in need of some TLC, to perk them back up, to treat those tired feet that have been on 12 or 14-hour-shifts," said Ms Murray.
