The GR® de Pays tour du Carlit is a marked trekking route located in the Pyrénées-Orientales, a department of which the Carlit peak is the highest point. For 4 days, I explored this massif and crossed landscapes which are among the wildest and most preserved in the Pyrenees. With, as a bonus, the ascent of the steep slopes of Pic Carlit (2921 m), to discover an exceptional panorama of the region, to experience an absolutely incredible sunset and sunrise and to bivouac in the middle of these magical landscapes! Afterwards, I walked on the magnificent path which runs along the Etang de Lanoux (the largest lake in the French Pyrenees) and down the peaceful Têt valley, to the Lac des Bouillouses. Before admiring Cerdagne, its villages, its heritage and its vast sunny plain. In the end, I experienced an extremely varied and very beautiful adventure on this GR® de Pays tour du Carlit. I am therefore delighted to show you, in immersion, the most beautiful images of this trek in the Catalan Pyrenees! And as usual, no frills: just the grandiose landscapes of the mountains and the sounds of nature to accompany me. Here we go! Enjoy exploring the Carlit massif in my company! 📍Highlights of this trek: an immersion in wild and colorful landscapes which are among the most beautiful in the Pyrenees the superb Lanoux pond and its enchanting setting grandiose panoramas over Cerdanya the ascent of Pic Carlit by its least frequented access, and a bivouac at the summit, at more than 2900 meters above sea level! 🗺️ Practical information about the hike: Duration: 3 to 4 days Distance: 49 km Total elevation: 2260 m Departure: Porté-Puymorens - Pyrénées-Orientales I give you all the essential information about this trek route on my Échappées Montagnardes website: Practical information, statistics, difficulties, points of interest and vigilance, so that you can prepare your own adventure!
