The Rare Old Time -Traditional-

(Dublin In) The Rare Old/Ould/Auld Times on keyboard. This is NOT Flogging Molly's version though I do plan to do that one too. You may notice how there are changes in the structure of the song from verse to verse. This is because I don't have a fixed version of any of the traditional songs I play. I usually learn a basic arrangement of the song based around the versions of the song I know, (For instance, this is based mostly off the version by a band call Colcannon, and a tiny bit of Flogging Molly and Luke Kelly) but when I play it to record, that's when the embroidery starts. I usually make mistakes doing it too. To give you an idea of how long the recording process takes, I started recording versions at 3:50ish PM and finished around 4:40 PM. So the first attempts did not sound like the final version. I even changed what key it was in a couple times. The number of takes varies wildly from song to song though. If I'm lucky, I can do sometimes do a song in just one take. Usually it takes many more though. Feel free to comment or Request a song.
