RIP! Rondale Moore Knew He Was Going To Die | Warning Signs Rondale Moore, a wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, has passed away at the age of 25 after an unthinkable incident in New Albany, Indiana, police said Saturday. New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey said Moore was discovered inside the garage of a property in the city. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday, and authorities are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding his passing. “I am devastated by the news of Rondale’s passing,” Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said in a statement. “While Rondale had been a member of the Vikings for a short time, he was someone we came to know well and care about deeply. He was a humble, soft-spoken, and respectful young man who was proud of his Indiana roots. As a player, he was disciplined, dedicated and resilient despite facing adversity multiple times as injuries sidelined him throughout his career. We are all heartbroken by the fact he will no longer continue to live out his NFL dream, and we won’t have the chance to watch him flourish. My prayers are with Rondale’s family, friends, teammates and coaches as we all process this tragic loss.” Moore rose to national attention as a standout receiver at Purdue University, setting records during his freshman season in 2018 with 114 receptions, 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns, along with a program record for all-purpose yardage that earned him All-American honors. “Rondale Moore was a complete joy to coach,” former college coach Jeff Brohm shared in a statement. “The ultimate competitor who never backed down from a challenge. Rondale had a work ethic unmatched by anyone — a great teammate who showed up in every moment. We loved his smile, his competitive edge, and the way he connected with everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We love him very much.” Moore was selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals, where he played three seasons before injuries affected his career. As a rookie in 2021, Moore recorded 54 receptions and showcased the explosive ability that made him one of football’s most exciting young talents. Injuries limited his 2022 campaign, but he returned to appear in 17 games in 2023, adding 40 receptions for 352 yards. Serious knee setbacks over the following seasons slowed his momentum. In 2024, he suffered a significant knee injury during training camp. After months of rehabilitation, Moore signed a one-year deal with Minnesota for the 2025 season, where the team planned to use him as a return specialist and depth receiver. However, during his first preseason return, he was injured again and taken to the locker room, later confirmed to be an ACL tear — a moment described by coaches as deeply heartbreaking. Following the news of his passing, tributes poured in across the league. Hall of Famer J. J. Watt, a former teammate, wrote that he could not begin to process the loss. Marquise Brown shared a message expressing support and brotherhood, while Tyrone Tracy Jr. reflected on how painful the news felt after recently speaking with him. In a statement, the Vikings said the organization has spoken with Moore’s family to offer condolences and full support. The team added that it has been communicating with players, coaches and staff while making counseling and emotional support available to anyone affected. Rest in power, king. #nflRondaleMooredeath
