10-car 24th Street train pulling into Montgomery Street Station in San Francisco during the second half of the evening commute on BART. Montgomery Street is the second of four Downtown San Francisco stops for all trains coming from the East Bay, and also the station at which to disembark in order to access San Francisco's financial district. The 24th Street train is BART's evening commute special that runs twice weekdays only on the Pittsburg/Bay Point-SFO line. However, unlike the SFO Airport trains on weekdays, these 24th Street trains only serve six of the eight San Francisco BART stations, before returning back to the East Bay. Both begin as San Francisco/Concord trains in Daly City during the start of the 4pm hour, then later terminate at Concord Station in Eastern Contra Costa County. Both trains in Concord proceed to become San Francisco/24th Street trains, which will terminate yet again, but this time at 24th Street Mission Station in San Francisco. Upon arrival, they become Pittsburg/Bay Point trains ready for return trips back to the East Bay.
