So how exactly did I spend my $100? Over the course of the month I spent around $67 at Food Loin. This included Whole chicken legs for $2.97 Onions for $1.99 10 lbs of potatoes for $5.98 1 lb of cheese for $3.79 36 eggs for 6.18 Butter for $2.50 Condensed tomato soup for 0.99 2 cans of green beans for 1.28 2 bundles of bananas for $2.44 Carrots for $2.19 Brussel Sprouts for $1.99 Pork loin on markdown for $2.84 Ground pork for $3.49 Cubed steaks for $3.64 A head of cabbage for 1.74 Pasta for $0.99 Alfredo sauce for $1.99 2 cans of seasoned black beans for $1.72 A can of corn for 0.64 Poblano Salsa for $1.89 6 roma tomatoes for $1.87 A lime for 0.33 Breakfast Sausage for $2.39 Cucumber for 0.50 Celery for $1.19 Lettuce for 0.99 Canned fire roasted tomatoes for 0.98 White beans for 0.86 Thin sliced chicken breasts for $2.47 Fiesta beans on closeout for $0.90 Pork chops for $3.27 At Dollar tree I spent $30 on 2 jars of peanut butter Strawberry preserves Garlic & herb seasoning Plain Oatmeal Maple brown sugar oatmeal Milk Rice 2 loaves of white bread Flour Tomato soup Pork n beans Wheat bread Hamburger buns Chocolate covered pomegranates String cheese Bbq sauce Potato chips Italian dressing Black olives Bologna Pepper stir fry And polish sausage And here is the full list of meals as well as the corresponding episode to reference for the recipes. Episode 1 covered day 1, I made banana baked oatmeal, grilled cheese with tomato soup, and chicken with roasted vegetable and Brussel sprouts Episode 2 covered days 2 through 5, in this episode I used the leftover vegetables from dinner to make a pureed vegetable soup, I also shared a potato and egg breakfast skillet which quickly became a favorite throughout the series, and I made country fried steak Episode 3 was finishing off the last couple of days of the first week, in this episode we made burrito bowls, homemade flour tortillas, and cabbage rolls Episode 4 covered the entire 2nd week, in this episode I made a baked chicken alfredo pasta, I finished off a lot of leftovers, I prepped a batch of breakfast burritos as well as some Starbucks inspired PB&J Boxes, and i cooked up the pork loin which I used to make BBQ Sandwiches Episode 5 was days 15 through 18, in this episode I made pasta salad, chicken sandwiches, and a vegetable soup from scraps I had been saving and freezing Episode 6 was days 20 through 25. I made a breakfast casserole, pork chops with baked potatoes and green beans, and I started to revisit some earlier meals that I had prepped and frozen.
