It is great to have the Henrik Freischlader Band back on the road as a four-piece band including an organ player (he has some big shoes to fill after Moritz 'Mr. Mo' Fuhrop's tragic passing in November 2024). This was the opener of the concert, I love this song by Roy Buchanan and Henrik really does it justice. The song first appeared on Roy Buchanan's self-titled album released in 1972, and Gary Moore also did a cover version on his "After the War" album from the late 80's. Henrik is playing his 2007 Les Paul Custom Shop 1959 reissue (completely reworked) during this performance, and the guitar also has an autograph by Gary Moore on the back. This was the fourth time I have seen Henrik play at the Roxy in Ulm (many other times in different locations), such a great place for live music.
