Drum Major Ian Esson and Pipe Major James Cooper leading Ballater & District Pipe Band into the 2023 Aboyne Highland Games. These were held on Saturday 5th August 2023 at Aboyne in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and the band were playing Shores of Loch bee and Battle of Waterloo as they marched through the crowd. Having formed in 1867, Aboyne is regarded as "The Traditional Highland Games" and continues to attract thousands of visitors to watch this wonderful display of Scottish culture in one of the most scenic parts of Aberdeenshire.
