So after an aggressive bout of fighting through all of the rioting Balloms, the Bomberman Bros. have reached a dark lair, and this lair turns out to be a warehouse that takes in imports of Balloms... They all find in this warehouse a mischievous figure in dark clothing, and he was planning to escape to Planet Brainwave until the Balloms calmed down. Clearly, he was responsible for the whole rioting mess. His name is Smuggler. See... What happened is that Smuggler purposely held back on the stock of Balloms. This is because Balloms absorb the emotions of their surroundings. With the stock being low, potential customers would get frustrated and angry that they couldn't buy a Ballom, and in return, the Balloms that were bought would feed off of that anger, and become angry and violent themselves. It's obvious that Smuggler's trying to use the Balloms to bring Planet Bomber into chaos, but he's not outright admitting that to the Bombermen in front of him. Suddenly, one of the Balloms approached him from behind, it IT WAS HUGE! It was a Marbled Ballom! A Ballom from the Ballom in the warehouse eating each other, and now was gonna eat the Bombermen! --------- So for now, THIS is the absolute final boss of Story Mode, even if it is a bonus. Its tougher than it looks. One of its favorite attacks is to body slam, this both kills you and eliminates any bombs haven't detonated, yet. Another attack it has is when it releases some Ballom shots from its head... EVERY TIME YOU HIT IT! And speaking of that, its mercy invincibility after taking a hit lasts MUCH longer than all of the other bosses in this game, including the Buggler bosses. So I can't hit him as often or as fluidly as I usually would with a boss by timing my bombs. And hitting the Marbled Ballow is just to stun it. Once it's stunned, it will deflate for a few seconds while a much smaller Ballom with a crown scurries around. Just try dumping all of the bombs you can and hope at least 1 or 2 of them deal some actual damage before the Marbled Ballom reforms. Eventually, after losing a few lives, I come out the victor. ---------- When the Marbled Ballom faced its defeat, it literally popped like the balloon that it is, releasing load and loads more Balloms, as well as Smuggler, who was now down and out. This new release of Balloms had them spread all over Planet Bomber, this gave the planet's people well-deserved comfort that they were all able to get a Ballom of their own, and as such, the rioting Balloms finally calmed down. Ultimately, White realized that thanks to the powers of kindness, Planet Bomber was restored to peace. And he hopes that everyone will learn to share with each other in order to preserve this peace. Sadly, but not unexpectedly, he'll have some hard time getting that through his young siblings' heads when it comes to sharing the Heart Ballom he bought for the whole home. Seems like compared to saving the universe, this was just another casual day of adventures for the Bomberman Bros... ---------- Remember the ending theme, HERO? That played after the Bombermen saved the universe from Buggler. Beating this storyline here lets you hear it again, this time in English, thanks to Aimee Blackschleger. It sounds just as fantastic as the Japanese version! The English lyrics are different from the Japanese ones by Hitomi Harada, but the context is the same: It describes, from a girl's perspective, her love and embrace for a guy who gave her a helping hand when no one else did, and how that one act of kindness made the girl fall in love with him along with how much she expresses her love towards him regardless of any trivial or awkward situations they could potentially have around other people. She saw him as her own hero, and she wouldn't have had it any other way. The visuals during this ending switches out the animations all of the Bomberman Bros. and the Five Dastardly Bombers with a bunch of Balloms, including Marbled Ballom. All of the main Bombers still get shown in their photo, but now they get Ballom stickers on them. ---------- After beating this extra storyline, the Heart Ballom that White bought will now always be shown in the loading screen, like what you've been seeing this entire time in my playthrough. You also get to buy some Ballom accessories from the Shop. For now, my playthrough is finished, and at this point, I'm still surprised that Konami supported this game so much after years of not seeing a Bomberman game before it. Thanks for watching! Be sure to check out all of my other Bomberman playthroughs, too, and also see what other games from other series I've played!
