AGRA’s participation in youth job fair in Yambio, S. Sudan

H. E Reina Buijs, the Director-General for International Cooperation at the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and high-level delegations from the Embassy of Japan, Embassy of the Netherlands and Embassy of Sweden joined a UN mission at the first ever Job Fair in Yambio, the capital of Gbudue State, in the Western part of South Sudan. The purpose of the mission was to interact with local partners and beneficiaries of multi-dimensional support to recovery and resilience in Gbudue State, following the recent state of war in the country. With funding from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, AGRA supports the Global Agriculture Innovation & Solutions Ltd (GAIS) – a local company – to produce and multiply improved seeds of staple crops as a way of supporting recovery and resilience in parts of South Sudan.
