In this video, we have yet another beach explore! This place is known as the Beach Plaza Hotel. There are two main buildings to this property, one being a small motel and another being a hotel that is 5+ stories! After much contemplation, I decided I was going to explore these buildings because of what I believed to be their fate in the near future. As it turns out, after opening in 1954, this hotel closed down in 2021. Later, a property development firm known as Kinsley Enterprises would purchase this property with plans to turn it into a Margaritaville Hotel. This included razing the property and starting fresh. However, tragedy struck in February 2023, when two of the key people, Jon and Tim Kinsley, lost their lives in a skiing related accident. Since then, the project has been on hold. Join me, as I document this once beautiful hotel and its former glory. It was so much fun looking for a way in and then finally finding one! Sometimes things like this feel like a real life video game. Anyway, I would love to revisit this place and capture more footage.
