3 Full Days and Nights Riding and Camping on the Oregon BDR

As a lifelong Oregonian, it's my goal to ride the Oregon BDR every single year. 2025's trip was an adventure to remember. My buddy Ducfan and I set out to ride the Oregon BDR on our adventure bikes: me on my CFMoto Ibex 450 and him on his Ducati Desert X Discovery. We started the trip in Christmas Valley and immediately headed out into the desert of ORBDR Section 3. The first day of riding the Oregon BDR turned out to be a lot more difficult than we were expecting, with a newly-formed sand wash to get through that definitely wasn't there the year before. After some struggles riding ADV bikes through deep sand, we made it to Sunriver and the end of Oregon BDR Section 3. The following day, we set out to tackle ORBDR section 4 and part of ORBDR section 5. We encountered some snow drifts we had to ride through on section 5 and by the time we got to Sisters I discovered that my pannier racks were severely bent. Huge shout out to Sisters Moto for the assist with some quick roadside repairs after which we tackled the first half of section 5 before settling down to motocamp near a beautiful river. Day 3 was much smoother, but finding camp at the end of the day proved to be a challenge due to the traffic on 4th of July weekend. Fortunately we made it to the beautiful Mt.
