We Found the PERFECT Desert Campsite | Anza-Borrego Off-Road Adventure

We headed into Anza-Borrego for an off-road desert adventure in search of a secluded campsite. What started as desert camping quickly turned into exploring technical trails, an abandoned WWII military bombing range near the Salton Sea, and finding the perfect cliffside camp. This trip took us deep into Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, navigating fun technical off-road sections before settling into camp with a great meal and a fire under the desert sky. On day two, we explored an abandoned military base from the 1940s once used for bombing practice, a strange and unforgettable experience. We finished the trip with a climb into the mountains, scoring an incredible campsite overlooking the Salton Sea where we cooked steak and lobster and soaked it all in.
