Unexpected Findings: Best Sony A7 / NP-FW50 Battery Selection and Test Results Revealed

Instagram:   / chrisspiegl   Buying third-party batteries for cameras is never easy. Over the course of the past 3 months I bought 5 batteries for my Sony A7 II. I recently thought about buying some new batteries and looked at the pricing and there are some significant differences. So I decided to first test the batteries that I already have and check which holds the longest. In this video, I am sharing my results — and it is not what I expected. NP-FW50 Batteries / Chargers which are compatible with the Sony A7 lineup: https://crsp.li/NPFW50 (my results indicate that the PATONA works best, and the dual charger is wonderful as well) Camera: Sony A7 II Lens: Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2.0 Recording Video with External Monitor (to see if the camera is still recording). Autofocus with Face Tracking and me sitting / relaxing / working in front of the camera. All settings stayed the same (camera was in Aperture Priority Movie Shooting Mode). I charged all the batteries right before putting them into the camera.
