Dr. Nkosinathi Sishi, Director General of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), has emphasized the crucial role of soft skills as the fundamental foundation for learning and the seamless transfer of knowledge across various disciplines. He highlighted that acquiring these skills sufficiently is indispensable for our academic and professional success. Dr. Sishi remarked that going forward, the Civic and Soft Skills Programme by Higher Health has to be made compulsory at all PSET institutions, including Universities, TVET Colleges, CET Colleges, and SETAs. This initiative can transform the educational landscape by equipping students with essential skills for the future. Dr. Sishi also had the privilege of presenting the first proposal for this programme to the Cabinet, where it received unanimous support. This marks a significant milestone for Higher Health in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education and Training. Moreover, we are proud to share that this effort has received endorsement from the United Nations and will serve as a model to roll out this programme globally. 🌍 #DHET #HigherHealth #HigherEducation #SoftSkills #CivicEducation #GlobalModel #PSETInstitutions #UNEndorsement #UnitedNations
