Join me as I upcycle a thrifted dress for Vancouver Frocktails 2025! 🎉 This year’s event was extra special because it also marked the launch of SewJo, a brand-new sewing app created by the founder of Fabcycle. I found a dress with a stunning border print, but it had some seriously tacky beaded embellishments and wasn’t the right size or length. In this video, I’ll show you how I completely transformed it: Resizing and shortening the dress ✂️ Re-making the bodice for a better fit 👗 Replacing the original beading with *handmade silk flowers* 🌸 The result is a one-of-a-kind dress that’s perfect for a night of sewing community fun.
