They want me to promote this light meter, but I’m not going to do it. Review Labs just dropped the Lumo Incidental Light Meter, and I’ve got to admit, this thing is a beast. It’s compact but packed with features—both reflective and incidental metering, a PC sync port for studio photographers, a rechargeable battery, and continuous firmware updates that keep making it better. But it’s not my favorite product they’ve made. For me, nothing beats the Ergonomic Light Meter. Functionally, they’re almost identical, but the Ergonomic just fits better in my workflow. It sits naturally in my hand, always within reach, and I can meter a scene instantly with my thumb. The trade-offs? It has a plastic body and uses replaceable batteries instead of USB-C charging, but honestly, that doesn’t bother me. If you backed the Lumo on Kickstarter, you won’t be disappointed—it’s an incredible tool. But for me? You’re always going to catch me with the Ergonomic Light Meter in hand. Sorry, Review Labs. Hope I’m not stirring the pot too much. #film #photography #filmphotography #LightMeter #MeteringMatters #ShootFilm
