The crowd was seen chanting slogans in Khan’s support. His PTI party had initially planned the protest in July. However, it was postponed twice due to denial of permission by authorities. The party also vowed to stand against a military trial against Khan and warned that PTI's 'verbal struggle' could turn into a 'bloody struggle' if Khan is not released.
