Several law enforcement officials in Adams County, Ohio, suing Afroman for defamation and false light over his response to an August 2022 raid at his home. The 51-year-old "Because I Got High" rapper, legal name Joseph Edgar Foreman, was never charged with a crime, but sheriff's officials are suing him over his often obscene lampooning of them, including in his song "Lemon Pound Cake" and the music video. Deputies seized cash and marijuana from his property. He got his money back, but it was $4,000 instead of the $4,400 listed in the search warrant's ledger. An investigator says the deputy who counted the money miscounted and added an extra $390 that didn't exist. He couldn't account for the other missing $10. Afroman has repeatedly called the deputies involved in the search thieves, and he's called one a pedophile and said he slept with another's wife. Trial began Monday (March 16) in the law enforcement officials' lawsuit. Judge Jonathan Hein is presiding in the Adams County Court of Common Pleas in West Union. *************************** Subscribe to Legal Affairs and Trials with Meghann Cuniff: https://www.legalaffairsandtrials.com...
