St. Vincent de Paul Church ⛪️ is a Roman Catholic Church located in the suburb of Ligoniel in the northwest of Belfast City. This church replaced an older church built in 1864 on a site which was purchased by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in 1851 for a school. The site for this church was purchased in 1894 by Canon McDonnell and Dr Henry, the Bishop of Down and Connor. The Foundation Stone for this church was laid on 20th June 1897. It was dedicated by Bishop Henry on 12th June 1898. It was designed by John Joseph McDonnell. It was built by Courtney & Co., Belfast. The high altar was gifted by Michael Little and erected by J. O'Neill. Stone cleaning and external repairs to this church took place in 1997. External works and internal reordering of this church took place in 2000. This church as reopened and its new altar dedicated by Bishop Patrick Walsh on 8th October 2000 following the works that took place. St. Vincent de Paul Parish was constituted in 1891. It is a Parish in the Diocese of Down and Connor.
