After the launch of the 500X version, the S-design family grows to include the Tipo range. Orders open today for the Fiat Tipo S-Design, the car dedicated to motorists who want style and substance with a modern, dynamic and distinctive personality, which was presented in preview at the recent Geneva Motor Show. Available in 5-door and Station Wagon versions, the new S-Design is characterised by a bold personality that reflects that of its youthful and active customers. All this without forgetting the features which made the success of the Tipo: roominess, functionality and flexibility. The new Fiat Tipo S-Design introduces a new Metropoli Grey livery - exclusive for this version - created to complement the dynamism and character of the Tipo family even further. The model is also available in Cinema Black, Amore Red, Gelato White and Colosseo Grey. What is more, the new version is immediately recognisable thanks to its distinctive wide grille with Piano Black trims, which embraces the whole of the front and finishes with an even more aggressive feature - the Bi-Xenon front headlights with the same trims. Making their first appearance in the Tipo family, the Bi-Xenon headlights ensure performance enhanced by 30% compared to the standard version. The Piano Black details continue around the edges of the sporty air inlets and on the mirror caps. The new diamond pattern 18-inch alloy wheels offer another dynamic touch, while tinted rear windows and special details, such as the handles in matching body colour, complete the look. Interiors have been entirely restyled, with leather and fabric seats and tactile finishes chosen for their strong, distinctive identity. The double stitching of the seats in leather and Airtex match those on the gear stick knob and steering wheel in "Techno-leather" with a criss-cross pattern. Finally, the dashboard features Piano Black accents and has a large Tecnico Grey fascia which spans the whole width of the passenger compartment. Other unique details appear on the central unit and upholstered door panels. In addition to the host of look-enhancing details, the new version of Fiat Tipo brings the best of technology, such as the next-generation UconnectTM 7" HD LIVE - which is standard on the entire S-Design range - fitted with high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen and capacitance screen for "pinch and swipe" capabilities like on a modern tablet. Also standard on Tipo S-Design is UConnect Link with Apple CarPlay and Android AutoTM allowing drivers to use their iPhone in more user-friendly manner in the car. In particular, Apple CarPlay perfectly integrates the iPhone with the display and native controls of the car to make calls, play music, send and receive text messages, get directions optimised for traffic conditions and much more, while staying focused on the road.
