Saddle Mountain Lookout | Nakusp, BC | Hiking

July 2021. Saddle Mountain is located in Nakusp, BC. A fire lookout is perched high above Arrow Lakes and the town of Nakusp. It has a 360-degree view of the majestic Kootenay mountains. Guests are welcome to stay at the lookout for a night or two. It is a gorgeous hike through wildflowers and trees, which would definitely entertain you as you catch your breath. The trailhead is at the end of a forestry service road on the other side of arrow lakes. There is an outhouse at the trailhead and at the lookout. It is about 8.5 km return. It was quite a fun scramble! A bit steep at the end with some loose rocks, but has absolutely stunning panoramic views! I highly recommend when you're in Nakusp. :) music: www.hooksounds.com
