At about 50 MPH, our 2014 Ford Explorer was making some awful noises from the front passenger wheel. After a quick inspection, we found that the Rear Lower Control Arm bushing on the front passenger wheel was eaten through and was just rattling around in its assembly. I thought, "Since I'll be down there changing out the struts, I'll just do these bushings at the same time." After all, it would be nothing compared to having to drop the entire axle to do the same job in the ranger, right!? THIS WAS NOT AN EASY JOB! This job can still be done at home with mostly simple tools, but watch to the end and I'll show you the tool I had to make to get this finished.
