Let's talk about Mr Kairo McLean. He was the youngest winner of the reggae recording of the year at the 2022 Juno awards for his EP titled Easy Now. This is him at the Red Carpet after he's won the juno. The show a clip of him at the Red Carpet after the junos. That style in that confidence. I mean we're probably going to say this a lot today, he's 13. And also he copped a nomination for Reggaeville's album of the year. And he's also performed at Rastafest at Toronto and Jambana. Ladies and gentlemen Kairo McLean. There we go. How are you Kairo? Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you as well. I'm just going to show a couple pictures first. Tell us a little bit about we're looking at. Absolutely. It was like a drum class when I was three or four. How old are you here and you already singing? So right there I'm about seven or eight. The show a clip Kairo singing. Where was that? Rastafest 2017. There I was eight. You're 8 years old and you're with experienced musicians and you are holding your own. Obviously there was something that happened when you were three or four that got you moving this direction. My dad plays bass right. I guess seeing him and the rest of the people he played with, how much fun they had and the spirit that got them into, it always looked good to me. I gave it a try, I guess, and here I am. My dad jumped up and I jumped up my Mom jumped up. Hugs all around. I ran up and as you can hear it was out of breath. One more clip to play. They play a clip from rise again. Who styles you because like at the Juno's and then this cover. Is that you or is your mom involved in that? There she is. Thank you. Hahaha. Do you have an ultimate goal? My ultimate is to really see everyone come together in harmony. I'd like for everyone on Earth to be seen as equals no matter where you come from. Are you working on anything at the moment? Yes I am we're working on a seven track album. You can expect that around September, October. Is there anything you are coming up. I've got Skankin' Sweet performance along with Kirk Diamond which is August 6th and August 7th I'm doing the Jerkfest. My social media handle is kairo_mcLean. You can find out what I'm doing.
