The chairperson of the National Commission for Women Vijaya Rahatkar has condemned the killing of a woman after her husband's family demanded a large sum of money as dowry. Nikki Bhati, a 26-year-old woman, was assaulted before she was set on fire in Noida at the weekend. She died at a hospital in Delhi where she was taken for emergency treatment.
