Today’s "bejalai" brings us right into the heart of a Kuching residential area to witness a CNY tradition. 🧧✨ There is nothing like the sound of drums echoing through the neighborhood to let you know the Lion is here! We caught this high-energy performance as the lion visited homes to bless them with luck, prosperity, and joy for the new year. Watching the lion navigate through a residential porch and interact with the families is such a wholesome and exciting experience. It’s a true reflection of the multicultural "harmony" we share here in Sarawak! Fun Fact: When the lion enters a home, it’s believed to chase away bad luck and usher in a year of success (Huat ah!).
