For the next in our Film Night series curated by José Dias, we present a perfectly bewitching soundtrack from the incredible saxophonist Dee Byrne to Un Chien Andalou (An Andalusian Dog), the 1929 silent surrealist short film by Spanish director Luis Buñuel and artist Salvador Dalí. Un Chien Andalou has no plot in the conventional sense of the word. The chronology of the film is disjointed, jumping from the initial "once upon a time" to "eight years later" without events or characters changing. It uses dream logic in narrative flow, presenting a series of tenuously related scenes. The audience at its premiere included such visionaries as Pablo Picasso, Le Corbusier and Jean Cocteau.
