The Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets faced off last night in another great matchup between two of the best teams in the West led by the two MVP favorites, but something that really caught my eye early on had nothing to do with the actual game on the floor. Dillon Jones was sent to the scorer’s table early on by Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault. It was surprising to see him looking to sub in this early and even more surprising to watch as he never actually checks in and just stood next to Mark at the scorers table for a while. I didn’t know exactly what was happening, but I knew something was off. After the game I asked Mark about this situation and he spoke about the idea of a “permanent sub”.
